Color Theory for Stage Lighting

Gels are color filters placed in front of a fixture. CTO (Color Temperature Orange) warms a daylight lamp to match tungsten sources. CTB (Color Temperature Blue) cools a tungsten lamp to match daylight. LED fixtures mix RGBW or RGBA channels additively — red + green = yellow, red + blue = magenta, green + blue = cyan.
